Carving in Stone

TUTOR John Neilson - one of the
leading professional letter carvers in the UK
A hands on introduction to
carving letters which will also touch on aspects of letter
design for stone. Participants will carve a word of their own design.
We will also look at the background of the craft, and examples of work
by present day practitioners. All tools, materials and safety
equipment will be provided.
Teaching 10 am Saturday - 4 pm
Sunday
Course fee: £170 will include
lunches
Accommodation £70 in shared
yurts. All food included from Friday supper 7pm Till Sunday 4 pm. Free
yurt space on Sun night if required. Pillows and sheets provided but
please bring your own duvet or sleeping bag
