Prehistoric Pottery Making and Firing

This course will examine the technology available to prehistoric potters in Britain from 4000BC -1st century BC. There will be a large hands on element to this course. After a talk on ceramic technology on Saturday, course members will build replica ceramics. On Sunday they will fire them and we will look at the forms, nomenclature and basic chronology of British prehistoric pottery. All tools and materials will be provided.

Teaching: 10 Saturday - 4pm Sunday

Course fee £100

Accommodation £70 in yurts or rooms and all meals included from 7pm Friday supper till 4.30 Sunday. Free yurt space on Sunday night if required.
